This was a re-release of the Boot Records BOS 7171 album. The folks at Capital were somewhat superstitious about having the #13 on the front of this album like how it was released on Boot Records in the 70’s so they kindly asked Tom if it was ok to remove it from this re-released version on Capital Records. Tom said he had a good laugh and agreed to remove it if it made them feel better. 

This was a re-release of the Boot Records BOS 7180 album.

This was a re-release of the ACT STC-15 album. The cover photo from the original ACT release was used as back cover art and Capitol Records had a new photo shoot done for the front cover, updating the look for one of their first Stompin’ Tom Album releases after he signed with them in 1990. Putting an end to Toms ACT Records Label at the time.

This would be Toms first original Album release with Capitol Records that he self penned while signed to the new Record Company. The song Margo’s Cargo was an instant hit with fans and Capitol Records had a music Video made using this great song.

This album was released during the “Canada 125th” celebrations in 1992. Tom loaded this album with many songs about our great country, showing his song writing skills incorporating Canada had never wavered from day one many years ago.

This album referred to Tom’s Honourary Doctorate of Laws from St. Thomas University. Tom went on to receive 3 University Doctorates in total, additional honourary doctorates came from U of T and UPEI for “Laws” and “Letters” respectively.

Toms 3rd original album release under Capitol Records. He had realized he had yet to write a song for the Yukon so the lead track for this album was called Long Gone to the Yukon.

The next original album came 4 years later from the last one and the 1st song called “Move Along” was for the Truckers. Also, Tom must have had an experience with a Sasquatch over the years as there is a song about one here as well. You may notice that “Long Gone to the Yukon” shows up here on this very next album as well. Reason being?, because Tom realized there was an error in the lyrics of the 1st version so he re-recorded the song, fixing his error. Can you discover what he changed between the 2 versions?

Tom wrote this album in 2001 as there was a couple stories he wanted to tell that happened earlier that year. The story of Erica Nordby, who was the little girl who was brought back to life after being froze in the snow, and the super fan who went to jail for playing Stompin’ Tom music too loud at his home in BC., now known as the “Stompin’ Tom Fan-Tangle.

The year before this Album was released Tom wrote a “Sequel” to the Hockey Song as he thought it was time to pay tribute to all the Hockey Moms out there who are responsible for getting all our favorite NHL players over the years to all their games when they were growing up, honing there skills to be in the big league one day. Also on this album is a great version of “I Belong to Glasgow” that only Tom could pull off in his own way.

Tom wrote this album after the a Stage Play by the same name had hit theatres in Canada over the previous couple years. The song echoes the stage production about his life story and the show still sells out when it gets mounted in various theatres in Canada. Also on this album is a fan favorite at concerts Tom recorded called “Take me back to Old Alberta”, written by Toms favorite singer, Wilf Carter, where Tom shows off his yodelling abilities, but he always admits that he was never as good at it as ol’ Wilf.

In 2009 it was time for some of Toms older albums to be made available again for fans who may have misplaced or perhaps newer fans hadn’t been able to get copies yet of some titles that had not been in stores for 10-15 years. 1st Collector series release with the Fan favorite “Live at the Horseshoe” that has Tom recorded live at the Legendary Tavern in Toronto. Live concert recordings don’t get much better than this! A must have.

3rd edition of the EMI Music Collector Series, “My Stompin’ Grounds”. One of the best albums that contain so many great “Identifiably Canadian” songs about our Country including the song many of us learned in school, “Name the Capitals”. Another Album all fans of Canada should have!

This would be the 24th and last “original” Album Tom would release before his passing the next year in 2013. The songs were recorded over the winter of 2011-2012 at long time studio Escarpment Sound by studio engineer Brian Hewson who worked on the last 10 albums with Tom. Also in the studio that winter Tom recorded over 100 other old country songs that would later start to be released by Universal and ole under the titles “Unreleased songs From the Vault” Featured on this album is the song “The Flander’s Fields Song” Tom wrote based on the Poem by John McCrae “In Flander Fields”. Maybe you will hear it on Rememberance Day!

In 2012, Tom decided it was time to re-release his only Christmas Album, “Merry Christmas Everybody”. The main reason is that he discovered an error in the lyrics to one of his Christmas songs and needed to re-record it to make it factually correct. Other wintertime hits were also added to the track listing including the Hockey Song and Snowmobile Song and Hockey Mom Tribute.

This compilation first released by Capitol Records Canada including future re-releases by EMI, has been the biggest selling Stompin’ Tom Compilation to date, going platinum multiple times. Alot of hits on this one and great cover art!

In 1993, 3 years after the release of a Proud Canadian, Capitol Records Canada became Capitol/EMI Music Canada and they released this new compilation with another variety of great Stompin’ Tom songs. The photo shoot for the album was done at Maple Leaf Gardens and even the coach of the Maple Leafs at the time, Pat Burns, was on site to chat with Tom and get an autograph. Apparently Pat was a big Stompin’ Tom fan and telling Tom how he heard the Hockey Song regularly over the years he coached at the minor league rinks in the 70’s and early 80’s.

This was Toms one and only “Childrens” compilation. Tom saw how so many kids were coming to his concerts in the 90’s as parents wanted their children to see who they grew up listening to in the 70’s. So Tom decided since he had quite a few songs that were great for kids to learn, he released a Childrens Album with songs like “Name the Capitols” that many of us all learned in school growing up. Great name for the album, and Caricature Artwork for the cover shot looks so real. Excellent collectors Item today!

This compilation was a special release by Capital/EMI for Columbia House record club, back when that was still a popular way to buy your music. Considered fairly rare today as it never was released nationwide in retail stores.

This mini compilation celebrated the opening of the Confederation Bridge, connecting PEI to the mainland.

Touted as the 2nd best selling compilation ever released by EMI that went platinum in Canada. Hits such as Bud the Spud, The Hockey Song and Sudbury Saturday Night kept fans rockin’ the tunes at the cottages and partys.

A must have for any History buff or Proud Canadian who wants to learn a little more about their Counrty. Tom was known for writing songs about factual stories in Canada and this album has songs about some of the most riveting events and influential people that Tom ever wrote about.

This compilation was originally released as a double album set in 1990, with a long note on the back by Henry McGuirk of Country Music News. In 2009, EMI re-released this CD, which now contains a updated track listing from the original CD including Toms new version of the Hockey Song. Also the package design was updated from the original as well.
